Dietary Modifications in Migraine Headaches




Try to drink eight glasses of water per day.

Avoid the following:

1. Alcohol, particularly red wine and champagne

2. Strong cheese, especially cheddar

3. Chicken liver

4. Pickled herring

5. Canned figs

6. Monosodium glutamate (MSG)

7. Cured meats

8. Chocolate

9. Fatty and fried foods

10. Sweets

11. Caffeine, (coffee, tea, cola drinks)
